Bullying is happening way to much this year. In fact, it's happening way
more than it has any other year in my opinion. I want to help prevent bullying.
First I will show you the four types of bullying and then I will help you stop
bullying whether it's you being bullied or a friend.
1. Covert bullying is bullying behind someone's back. It's like spreading
rumors. This is often hard to notice.
2. Cyber Bullying- Cyber bullying is when someone uses the Internet like
social websites or apps to bully someone by saying stuff like: I hate you, or
threatening notes.
3. Verbal Bullying- Verbal bullying is when someone bullies you with words.
They can say hurtful things to try to tear you down.
4. Physical Bullying- Physical bullying is bullying using punching,
kicking, etc. this often happens to boys.
Even though it's hard, there are ways you can help stop the mean bullies.
There are also reasons why those people bully
1. They are broken down because something happened to them and they want
others to feel the same pain
2. They were bullied themselves so they think it's okay to bully
other
3. They think they are popular so they pick on other kids
There also might be other reasons to so don't think it's just those
reasons
If you see someone getting bullied, don't just stand there and watch. Stand
up for that other person or at least tell an adult. If you are getting bullied,
talk to a guidance counselor or your parents. Don't worry, everything you say
to a guidance counselor is totally confidential. If you are getting physical or
verbal bullying, try to change the subject.
For boys, say stuff like: To boys and girls, say
stuff the bully is interested in
1. Catch the game last night?
2. My favorite sports team is _______ what's yours?
For girls, say stuff like:
1. Oh my gosh did you see___________ last night?
2. Last might was the best/worst night ever! Explain:______________
For boys and girls say stuff like:
1. So how are you?
2. You look different (in a good way)
3. Who does you hair?
4. I love your outfit!
If anybody threatens you, don't keep those words in your head. You need to
talk about it. Things like that are only going to get worse. Talk to someone
because that bully is going to try to make you life miserable. Here are some
words to help you
1. If you don't stop bullying me, you are going to force me to tell
someone
2. You don't scare me! *Runs off*
Trust me, if you ever get bullied, you have to tell an adult. It's only
going to get worse if you don't. So please take my advice because I think it
will help.
